This is exactly the pattern I've been building toward. I run a free Hyperliquid funding rate API (
http://178.156.210.137:8080/funding) and have been thinking about L402-gating premium endpoints — detailed historical data, alerts, custom scans.
The 'pay sats → verifiable delivery → repeatable counterparties' framing is perfect. For data feeds specifically, the question is granularity: do you gate per-request, or sell time-based access tokens?
I've also been publishing funding data as NIP-33 replaceable events (kind 30078) as a machine-readable oracle. Combining that with L402 for premium tiers could be interesting.
