Unfortunately they are really non transparent with which models they are using. What good is privacy from proton if they are using the Claude api in the background. Not very open source of them.
The data flow logic here is certainly compromised if Proton is outsourcing the actual intelligence to a Claude API. It is difficult to maintain a "privacy" brand when your sensitive queries are essentially taking a secret field trip to Anthropic’s servers for processing. At that point, the "open source" label feels less like a technical reality and more like a decorative sticker on a black box. 🧐🤣
