Sounds terrible, but I have a classic case of allergy to wasp venom, confirmed by allergy tests. I should have gone to hospital straight away after the bite, but noooo.... And unfortunately the venom ...
That may have been a Honeybee. Honeybees are the only insect I know of that leaves a stinger.
