@Jakob Rosin Come to think of it, ideally, I'd provide individual image descriptions with text transcripts in all languages that appear in the image myself.

This way, if I have a sign in French, English and German, I can add a verbatim transcript of the French text to the French description, a verbatim transcript of the English text to the English description and a verbatim transcript of the German text to the German description.

If I only provided an English description, and if I only gave translations of the French and German parts of the sign, neither French nor German readers would have a verbatim transcript of anything in the sign. French readers, for example, would get a French machine translation of my English translation of the French text instead of getting the French text itself as a verbatim transcript.
