Why is this broken promise never discussed by the mockingbird media regarding the Ukrainian conflict?

If we have to admit that Russia was no longer posing a problem to the West since the fall of the Soviet Union, we also have to admit that there was no longer a reason for NATO to exist.
The current NATO is a farce, incl. the role it's been asked to perform.
The current NATO has NOTHING to do with the original concept of why NATO was required. NATO was without a job since the 1990s.
One could imagine another speech similar to Eisenhower's Farewell Address about the Military Industrial Complex, but about NATO.
"We" chose to keep pretending NATO is required by pretending Russia poses a threat to the West. The "only" thing required is prolonged provocations, changing presidents, blowing up pipelines, U.S. gain-of-function labs on Russias doorstep, causing proxy attacks by funding corrupt countries, causing a civil war that leads to the killing of Russians... Etc!
Ukraine is not a NATO country. Our reasons of having to be there are based on lies. Except for some elites, we have no business there. We are there for the benefit of some elites, yes. Like all wars.
