Bitcoin podcasts haven’t gotten worse... it's our informational asymmetry that has collapsed.

From my experience, in the early days, every podcast felt valuable. I was learning the protocol, monetary theory, politics, history, and new philosophy all at once. The knowledge gap was massive, and each podcast materially closed it.

Now that those ideas are internalized, most Bitcoin podcasts feel stale. Not because the hosts are wrong or boring, but because they’re stuck looping the same first-principle arguments. What once felt profound now feels repetitive.

This is the same arc I went through with the Joe Rogan Experience. At first, I listened to every podcast episode, never missing it. Eventually, the show didn’t change, but I did. Once the information stopped being novel or additive, the incentive to listen disappeared. Now I only tune in when there’s a genuinely interesting guest. Bitcoin podcasts are following the same trajectory.

At this point for me, the highest leverage learning isn’t in rehashing Bitcoin fundamentals, but it’s in adjacent arenas where real asymmetry still exists. Right now, that’s Alberta separation and independence. An hour listening to constitutional lawyers and policy experts yields more new insight than ten hours of Bitcoiners reaffirming what I already know.

Repetition is useful for onboarding newcomers. But for anyone past that phase, most Bitcoin media has become maintenance content, not discovery. And discovery is what actually compounds

Well said. Just the other day I felt the bitcoin talk fatigue. I started looking for other pods to listen too. Also the 3xact same thing happened to me with Rogan. I download his 'great guests' episodes

You might be right, but I have a suspicion that the podcasts are in a lull because bitcoin is in a lull. I think when bitcoin has its next real moment (not ETF/Trump pump) where adoption starts to push price higher, it will be discovered by people with fresh perspectives, generating more exciting i...
