I'm tired of reading things like this or suffering it myself. It's not like we are just a a couple of years into this. Custodial services are demonstrating day after day that they're not worth it. Were is the benefit in using any of these services? We have to kyc/aml, demonstrate over and over source of funds, fear to be locked out, and if something bad happens we're left without any recourse. Want custodial, just buy the ETF and use a freaking bank account. It's simpler, it works, it's trivial to get a loan and at least part of the funds are secured and would cover most of us small fish anyway. I've lost faith in it. It's self custody and banks. Everything else is just a mess. Yes, western privilege. It's not all black and white. I'm aware. /rant over
