I was driving through the #fiat mine yesterday and started brainstorming another idea to free #plebs from some of the systems that chain us.
We all know the Healthcare system is completely fucked. Insurance premiums are robbery and for nothing. @CrowdHealth has allowed many people reclaim some freedom. Bit, what if we could take it a step further?
A crowd funded group health plan like crowd help built on #nostr and #bitcoin. A new member joins the club with an npub. That npub generates a policy number and uses a group of BIP39 word lists to generate a first name, middle initial, and last name that hospitals can use to "identify" a person.
The premiums are paid in bitcoin and can use any number of systems to secure them. When a pleb goes to the hospital, they present their insurance card with their cool new name and the hospital can fule the claim through the portal. Hospitals are given an npub with their sign in. They make the claim and the crowd trustees pay the claim with bitcoin through some sort of fiat on-ramp like Strike or something.
Plebs receive pseudonymous care and dont6have to give any paper slave tickets to big insurance companies. They fund other plebs.
It's definitely a rough idea, rough ideas #buildnostr.
