I can speak to the $2.5B of cuts to funding for Water & Sewer infrastructure- just pushes costs to local jurisdictions customers and ratepayers. Which means increased risk of system failures and polluted waters and communities. Costs also born by all in those communities. All based on Federal requirements and regulations (Clean Water Act, etc).

Back to philosophical question, should each of us pay our fair share for investments in roads, clean water, sewer service? If no general public contribution (government), then that is a shitton of money to pay for each of us.
