The opening discussion alone is worth the price of admission. They show why “western civilization” or “western theology” doesn’t have a coherent through line and thus is not a coherent concept. “Latin” is a more accurate term than “western” when discussing theology.

But it’s a good reminder that most people who talk about “western civilization” without defining terms are usually engaged is some sort of sophistry, knowingly or otherwise.
