@nprofile1q... Don't be too sure that it will be too hard to replace the keyboard. I've replaced three Lenovo keyboards on three different models, and you generally just need a small phillips head screwdriver, a plastic lever (or good fingernails) and a little patience. Most (all?) Lenovo models have a hardware manual available online, that takes you through the process step by step. You don't need to be technical. You do need to get exactly the right replacement keyboard though.

Depending on your preference of course, I've also found that an external keyboard is a great stopgap (and in one case a "replacement") for a defective keyboard.
