Southwest England here, we still have 30 degrees outside in the afternoon. We have all windows open through the night, a steady airflow all through the night, and this gets the inside cooled to 18 degrees by morning. By evening, the upper floor will get hot, but downstais will still be pleasantly cool. It's an old house with thick walls, which helps. And there is an underground brook right under our dining room --- that room stays below 20 degrees come what may. Natural air con!
