Interesting question, I personally think that having one would save you a lot of unnecessary encounters with the police and imho it's not the biggest battle to focus on as it does little to break stat...

The problem is that every interaction with the State comes with these conditions and documents that need to be met and obtained.

For example: recently in Alberta, the government decided to merge drivers' licences with health cards, with the need to prove your citizenship or visa status. And now they want to make a digital version of the licence, and you'll have to pay more for the physical version.

So they suck you in. One document at a time. One document needing another document. They're linking everything and building the digital ID.

The same question goes for passports. Do we get them or choose to smuggle ourselves everywhere?

I hope this doesn't sound sarcastic, because it's not. I'm really struggling with these issues.
