@Blurry Moon i'm pretty sure the reason why you can't get a good printer normally is because the FBI/CIA/whatever really doesn't want people having access to printing capabilities without the yellow tracking dots. they've struck deals with printer manufacturers to not print without yellow ink, and i'm guessing they require DRM cartridges for similar reasons.

though i doubt they can stop people from DIYing their own printers into existence. i doubt they can even make it illegal.
