I know artists who've been totally saved from very dodgy worlds thanks to careers in music so I don't think preventing people having careers is the answer, regardless the occupation.
The law exists and should be applied equally (I know it isn't).
He was very talented AND a scumbag. Without his music career he'd still be a scumbag and maybe worse.
