I've only had that happen when playing on emulators. I was once playing on ppsspp and the video froze for a moment but I didn't miss the combo since the video is secondary in these games:mito_laugh:. (Of course, it can still throw you off. )
Anyway they fell for the unity meme with that game. When I tried to play the demo version on my pee cee a little window that said unity appeared and then the game crashed (:mito_weary:). Those game engines like unity and unreal are very massive and unpredictable so they have a lot of jitter and are a terrible fit for rhythm games. (At least they seem to have replaced the audio engine. )A lot about modern computers is designed that way, spending all of the effort on optimizing the best case and hoping that the worst case won't happen. I wish that realtime OSes were viable platforms for games but even a reliable azalia driver on troonix is too much to ask.
