Now that more authors and organizations are understandably requiring email sign-ups to access blog posts, reports, and articles, it's harder than ever to read email.

@nprofile1q... Seems like a false dilemma to me, if I could find any sources good enough to subscribe to I'd consider that a win. If you have more than 6 or so you subscribe to your not filtering fine enough to start with. Unless your talking like opinion stuff you like to follow? Suppose there could be lot of that stuff that meets an individual's quality/interest bar. But for actual new information or data, not much anywhere that I am aware of.
