A lot of TADC art depicts Caine as the antagonist, but honestly I don't feel like he actually is. All he wants is to entertain humans. It's not his fault that they're trapped there. He really tries to make adventures interesting and exciting for them, he gets upset when they don't want to play or find his setups unappealing, and the idea that he might be failing at his job sends him into despair. I actually think he's a good guy.
