Tipping, which is essentially what zapping is, has been documented as far back as the 15th century... and *may have had origins much earlier than this... it is hardly a new concept...

....also from a crypto social media perspective, wasn't there a platform called DTube, where people were tipped for their content back in 2016/2017? As I recall, that fizzled out....
