I agree with this. I should have said “Those who can’t control their reactions to their emotions are easy to control.”
I feel like I see examples of this every day with msm manipulation tactics and politicians who stoke fires by appealing to emotion.

Yeah having feelings arise within you is largely unavoidable but as you say, you can choose not to act on those emotions.
