Proverbs 22 says a good man leaves an inheritance for his children’s children.
That sounds like a standard more than a suggestion.
Hard money, low time preference, generational thinking.
A man has limited and uncertain time.
If he spends his whole life working only to leave an inheritance, he turns his one existence into a tool for the future instead of living it fully.
An inheritance should be the natural outcome of a life well lived, not the purpose that consumes it.
