The current #OnlyZap implementation makes no sense to me to be honest.

It seems more logical for it to hide like buttons on only my feed if I enable it instead of hiding the like option from my followers.

I think a lot of the controversy surrounding it would be resolved if it was implemented like this too since it wouldn’t change the experience for anyone else but me.

It should be up to each user to choose if they want the option to both like and zap their followers.

Disagree. Damus users deserve better than a placebo 🤙 button the 🤙 intended receiver will choose not to see. The beauty of #onlyzaps is that it is opt-in, and that you cannot impose your preference on others, and vice versa. This is the #nostr way.

I wanted to make it clear in the UI that the person doesn’t receive likes, hiding the like button on their posts accomplishes this. Why do you want to like their post if they won’t see it?

I think likes on a product page make sense , both for customers and the vendors.. I was experimenting with IRis's feed filter and it gives you choice to sort based on what you want to sort based on,, that seems legit,, but personally, i switch between devices a lot which means clients as well,, so ...
