I want to think it’s more than 1% who create but I think it’s true. Lurking is a thing ha?! People don’t engage.. just passively consume. Crazy how big that number is.

Yea I think the term “lurker” is funny 😄 but “content consumer” may be a better descriptor. I believe the numbers are just a generalized reference, and likely shift a bit depending on which platform, etc. But it’s an interesting data point as someone who likes to create and post things.

I also think many people can be classified into all those categories at once, depending on the subject matter. I may be a creator/contributor for one subject matter, but a lurker for another subject matter because either I don't have a strong opinion or because I don't consider myself a subject mat...
