I like hiking but hate running into people. I've found a number of neat places around me that are easy to access but not traveled. Old abandoned industrial parks where all the buildings have been turned to rubble, a golf course that's slowly being developed but has no construction workers around on the weekend, an abandoned airstrip near a set of baseball fields. Lots of fun mini adventures.
