🙋‍♂️ not sure if I’m knowledgable enough to understand this though, what are the prerequisites?

Oh god the way I learn is so scattered I don’t even know. I think I just started peeling the onion on Lie Group, lie algebras, representation theory (woits book is really good). Once you realize that so much of physics is based on irreducible representations of symmetry groups things start getting really interesting. Understanding what SO(2), SU(2), means, how it relates to quantum observables, pauli matrices, etc… so much to explore. Chatgpt helps a lot, it’s an infinitely patient tutor.

Lol. Years and years ago, I was having drinks with a friend. He said the meaning of life, or explanation of God if you will, was a math equation. I've never been able to brush off his 2am quip. I think math... leading to physics and then physics we don't yet understand like quantum theory is the n...
