I still don't get how so many Bitcoin devs don't have much Bitcoin.
But in a sense, I suppose if they had some Bitcoin to start, they'd be tempted to retire, so maybe there's a selection effect there...
Jimmy, that conversation got nowhere during BIP 110 debates. That will remain irrelevant. If the money that put them there decides it is time for it to become relevant, then it will become relevant. hired influencers will talk about it and it will become an active issue. Does it even matter? Longest mining chain + sybil attack is all it takes to steer the "immutable money". I wonder how long it will take for you guys to realize the crew already jumped out of the train heading to collision while you look out of the window from your seat, daydreaming what you will do when you get there. Those that achieved the longest mining chain, and who can run a sybil on the nodes, are also the ones who select the devs who are either gullible, don't know enough or are outright nihilists.
Do you seriously think raising the fact that BTC devs are not all in on Bitcoin will make any difference now? The questions you should be asking is: what the miners will do, can the suits counterbalance the miners until nationstates begin to put their weight in BTC?
