Terrible what’s happening with Go Fund Me🥲
They held back a huge amount of donations for a Venezuela campaign and are forcing organizers to either give the funds to a list of NGOs THEY chose (many with no presence in Venezuela) or return it to donors.
I’ve already heard of 3+ campaigns that had funds frozen and were asked for endless documents to release them. Classic fiat bureaucracy.
This is exactly why we chose to run our campaign on Nostr with zaps, and on @Geyser donating without permission, without censorship, straight to the people who need it. ⚡🇻🇪
