Long story short, my Apple ID got screwed up 8 years ago because it was part of an email I lost access to, but it’s still linked to my phone and it works but I can’t change the primary / recovery email and I was on the phone with Apple customer support for 40+ hours over multiple months and they couldn’t fix it. I find it hilarious that a multi trillion company couldn’t fix anything so simple.
