I think about 5 -7 years? I suspect it could go longer as it should age well. This is basically a recipe that has been used for hundreds of years.

That's not bad. I'm learning about the stuff and techniques people have used for hundreds to thousands of years. Currently on my research list is sod roofs done traditionally with no plastics or petroleum products or even metal.
