Feeling Guilty

I lost a gilt today,
With lovely auburn hair,
She did not stick around to play,
Just left to my despair,

In her porcine defense,
I’m not one for gluttony,
To her it did not make much sense,
She parted company,

If I could coax her back,
With one not guilty plea,
I carried whole corn in a sack,
To her as she did flee.
