I also believe many people take advantage of the popular GM notes for both positive and negative reasons. On the positive side, many people participate in GMs and PVs to be social, to be recognized, to be their own algorithm and be heard. As for the negative, I would not be surprised if some people "farmed" GM notes to get zaps.

I honestly enjoy saying GM here. Having gone to Nostr Valley and met so many people in person that I had previously known only on Nostr, I have a sense of real-ness here that never existed in any social media for me.

I have question GM since the beginning. BUT, it has made me think about the contrast of legacy social media (self centered and negativity) vs a community that at least say GM.... So have forced my self, and now for the most part I find more value than not. On the other hand, I would prefer to see...

I'm trying to figure out how you farm ⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡ do you plant zaplings, plant nuts to grow nut zaps or graph them like apple trees and that's why lightning nodes can have so many branches per transaction 🤷🏻‍♂️

I have the same issue with GM notes that I have with the IRL “how are you?” They’re mostly empty. Just an empty social relationships building act. “You do as I do. I like you”

I only participate with one GMer....

I mean, at my age, I just like everyone to know I'm still alive.
