So true. After traveling to Argentina and Italy this past year I’m convinced that the US gets the dregs of every harvest and it’s shipped out with a 10x markup. I know it’s complicated and alcohol laws blah blah blah but drinking wine for a week in both countries I felt great during and after enjoying bottles with friends. Come back to the states all cocky that I have some special insight about Argentinian Malbecs and Italian Proseccos and after paying triple the price for a wine I wake up feeling like trash after two glasses.
