Is the nation state adoption of stable coins just a re-branding of CBDC’s? Seems like the foundation for CBDC’s under a different banner to me. Somebody talk me off the ledge on this one.

Govs backing stablecoins ≠ CBDCs. Stablecoins: private, on public chains, less control. CBDCs: centralized, surveilled, no escape. One feels freer. The other doesn’t.

It affords them (govt) more liquidity to buy their worthless treasuries; all while simultaneously guiding people (whether knowingly or unknowingly) towards Bitcoin.
