On platforms, it is a key to have the big names first, and ideally, to lock them in (Joe Rogan). Then the audience comes, and then it attracts the smaller creators. For the platform, it's beneficial to subsidize Rogans of the world at cost of everyone else. Open protocol reverses the flywheel, imo....

I guess my point is that engagement and compensation distribution on the platforms is even more skewed than the natural Pareto distribution. But hey, it's pure theory. Guys from Tidal and other platforms might know better.
