3 months ago I had never used AI for coding.
Started using free gemini 2.5 credits. An AI that helps but also introduces bugs and complex code. Tried a month of GLM 4.5, also not that great.
Then payed the lowest copilot sub tier and tried Codex 5/Gemini 3.1. These really can speed up things. Not that great either. If you code by yourself you won't lose much.
Then like 4 days ago I tried Opus 4.6. Modafoca! This shit is leagues ahead. It can code whatever I throw at it and find any bug. But I think it burned all my remaining credits (~30%) in like 3 hours or so, don't remember exactly.
If one cannot afford Claude Opus 4.6, they are currently eating dust from other (rich) devs. Yes, I'm eating dust.
