A lot of people think that joining social media platforms with huge audiences automatically makes them successful. But when you’re on a platform with millions of users, your content can easily get buried under a mountain of other content.

I’ve been active on many social media platforms, but over time, I realized that having a large audience doesn’t necessarily mean people will actually see or care about your work.

I haven’t posted on LinkedIn for three years. I deleted my Instagram account, even though I used to get much more engagement there. And I’ve been less active on X because, since Elon Musk took over, I feel like my content barely gets seen.

But Nostr is different.

The audience is smaller, but the connections feel much more genuine. People actually talk to me about my art, share their ideas for rugs they’d like me to create, and four people have bought my rugs without me doing any promotion.

I’ve shared my work across many social media platforms, but most of the time, nobody really cared about the art.

Here, I can connect with people from anywhere much more easily and openly share my ideas.

Of course, there are scammers everywhere. You can never completely stop them. But that doesn’t change what makes this place special to me: the genuine connections, the conversations, and the people who actually care about what you create. 💜
