Drugs like lsd may only make your default range of conscious experience flatten out a bit. Think of your default consciousness state space well becoming more shallow/stretching out.

DMT puts you in a different energy well entirely.

I am so fascinated by altered states of consciousness ever since i realized illusions are like mini failures in your brains rendering of reality.

I have a feeling we could understand consciousness a bit more scientifically by exploring psychedelics and its effect on receptors which alter rendering of reality like the kappa receptor.
