Its probably perfectly fine performance wise but they charge flagship price for a shitty mid range chip and every aspect of the hardware is below flagship quality and missing any sort of features that every other phone company puts in their flagship. It's genuinely average and completely unremarkable hardware with an ugly as shit camera bump. They've kept the same ugly ass design for 5 years and every generation theres nothing new. It's a slightly better dogshit chip and thats it.

I'm not even someone who cares about performance. I bought low end hardware for my pc and I am content with it. I know the chip is all I need, but I want the phone to last years. My current phone is a oneplus 8. It's a flagship chip from 2020 and it's still perfectly smooth today. I doubt these Google chips will have the same longevity and if the hardware won't hold up, what's the point of 7 years of security updates? I get they want to use their own chips and are improving every year, but they need to actually charge accordingly. It needs to be at least $200 cheaper than the other flagships. On another note I hate when they only offer the bigger screen with the pro version. None of the pro features on any phone actually matter. I just want the big screen. They really charging $900 for the base model and if you want more screen you need to jump all the way to $1300. For comparison you can get the current Samsung for $800, a bigger screen on the plus for $900, and even the ultra is $1100. Apple is the same with $800 and $1200 for the pro max.

How the fuck is Google charging more than apple and Samsung for a far worse phone? I have no clue who tf is paying full price for these things. I can only assume that their MSRP price is just an FU price and their main business is selling heavily discounted through carriers. I can't imagine anyone but the reddit retards actually paying their advertised MSRP. I know ATT was offering me their last year pro XL phone for free to switch over.

Yeah very good point about the bigger screen thing with pixel phones. That's why I'd only ever consider buying it on black Friday. The deal's gotta be good for me to even consider it.
