@My First Bitcoin began 5 years ago

And what a wild half decade it’s been

So many of the details have changed but the north star has always been that if individuals have more control over their own life it leads to a better world and that bitcoin education is a means to that end

It has been a journey, with literal blood sweat and tears throughout. We’ve managed to kick quite a few hornet’s nests along the way which has been exhausting, even scary

But the objective is to disrupt the status quo, so while specific manifestations have been surprising that they happened was always expected. Though knowing the theory and living the reality are very different things

I’ve learned so much about myself and about the world on this journey

The path forward continues to be rocky. Change comes from discomfort and ambition, it always has

But that path is also as clear as it’s ever been

Five years on and the why remains the same. Five years on and the what and the how come into focus

Independent, open-source bitcoin education will change the world
