I really appreciate you attempting to be sober about WoT … but fairy dust is not what we’re pulling from this rabbit hole. We are bullish on WoT because the tools we are building will power the SAME game theory you speak of … to play out to its fullest, as unhindered by central influences as humanly possible.
More powerful than any algo … is what will emerge when the algos themselves mirror the diversity of the people that use them.
This will not be manifest from WoT alone, but Sovereign WoT in the context of Nostr … where identity, content, algos and payments, are all controlled by users and processed interchangeably by a variety of apps and services chosen by each user.
It’s a big experiment that might never catch on … but optimism and hard work is not the same as fairy dust.
