That means more expensive, which would change everything, so it is a big problem. Btw the rest of the european countries also buy russian oil but from India. That means all european countries depend on russian oil on some degree, even if they don't buy it directly and pay more for it.

India is winding down its Russian oil purchases. That was a prerequisite to lower tarifs from the US and the big EU trade deal. Also, it's simply that Russian oil is an increasingly bad deal. All oil is now cheap and those rusty ships often have no insurance and constantly leak oil into the water. ...
