I think it’s fueled by anxiety. When people feel helpless, they reach for the tribe to support them. Hence abandonment of individualist values.
Very interesting logic and makes a lot of sense. Ambient societal anxiety probably hasnt been this high in a century. I just started reading the fourth turning and i think it might be a very on poiny
