Both of my kids have to give a four page reports and a slideshow with videos or pictures on Costa Rica for their week long absence to be officially excused from school. 🙄🙄🙄 It's bullshit, IMO...
The public school systems are next to worthless today. Maybe consider home schooling the kids until high school age or better. This really make a great family bonding too. If I had a do over, I do it this way.
