I am confused. Private messages is about the content being private. People can almost always see who you are talking to.

I'm not a tech person at all 😅 but for me private messages are like on twitter or messenger where you can't see who people are talking to in private messages.

Twitter employees can see all the content of your messages & which people you are talking to. In that sense, it is not private at all. In Nostr, people can see the names of the people you are talking to but CANNOT see the contents of the message. Only the two persons in the conversation can see ea...

Personally I don't have a problem with it, but I think users should know that it's different from other social media on this point :)

It would be cool if we could attach an expiry time on private messages so they could trigger an automatic deletion by the relays. Not sure if it would be technically possible though.
