My current expectation is that the Venezuelan bitcoin are going to be added to the U.S. strategic reserve.

The pretext will be that they were ill gotten gains from avoiding sanctions thus making them criminal proceeds.

Likely. They confiscate all the assets in drug cases.

Call it sanctions enforcement. Treat it like a reserve asset. That’s how policy shifts happen.

Smells like winning. And theft. Smells like winning and theft.

ALSO : UNDER THE EXECUTIVE ACTIONS TAKEN IN EARLY 2025.....THE U.S. STRATEGIC BITCOIN RESERVE IS SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED TO BE "CAPITALIZED" (FUNDED) BY FORFEITED ASSETS. INSTEAD OF THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE (DOJ) SO THIS ABSOLUTELY CAN HAPPEN..... THEY'VE SAID THE QUITE PART OUT LOUD NOW HERE IS...

May be Venezuela may destroy it before it can be transferred

Did they get the bitcoin? I hope not. I don't care if its criminal proceeds (much) but in Venezuela's hands the bitcoin will be used for international transactions, and in America's hands, it won't be. America stealing it would be unequivocally bad for bitcoin.

I was thinking the Same thing .. because of cheap Energy prices in Venezuela the Military was running a Mining Operation and they were using Bitcoin to Go around sanctions.. supposedly they have a good amount of bitcoin.

That bitcoin belongs with Venezuelans, victims of the regime’s crimes. I do wonder how they’ll spin kicking down the doors of a sacred monastery in Bhutan. Then again, maybe they stop short bc they’re worried China sees it as a proxy stack

Surely, the Venezuelan government has taken protection measures. Not Trump’s keys, not Trump’s Bitcoin yet.

If these coins really are in Maduros hands, that could explain the price suppression up to this point
Kayne · 11w
Yes, Bitcoin and gold is the real reason for this. It's about protecting the fiat banking cartels. Can't let Venezuela have Bitcoin or gold to back their currency because that's a direct threat to USA and israel

the real question is who got the keys?
