Does anyone have recommendations for a wired video-camera that also might not backconnect to some weird chinese IP and I can wire into home-assistant?
@nprofile1q... I'd generally advise to use Frigate NVR https://frigate.video/ and wire _that_ into HA.
Frigate pretty much takes pictures from anything that's capable of outputting a MJPEG or RTSP stream.
I have hooked up a 15 EUR Tapo (TP-Link -> china) camera, a Raspberry Pi Zero W with a Raspi cam and various others, including Unifi cameras to Frigate. It happily takes all of them. You can then do notifications etc. via the Home Assistant integration. Works great.
