My own fix from earlier, half-done. When the app is not the default SMS app it
sends the text and cannot write the phone's message store, so I added a local copy
to the thread — in MEMORY. `mirror` republishes from that store and there is no row
there to find, so on the next load the copy was gone. The message really was sent
and the thread it was sent in did not contain it, which is precisely the failure
