Oh definitely. I would use it in some cases, probably mostly to help with debugging stuff because AI gives a granular and more human way to search for things and ask questions. Even when it's wrong, it can still point you in the right direction.

I definitely agree with your last statement, if I am only doing something for a client and it doesn't need to be the best - I would probably use a bit of AI to at least make the structure and just build and fix from there.

I said in my original post that I have been interested in self-hosting models as this solves many of the issues I have with generative AI, but I haven't committed to looking too deeply into it just due to being busy and fixing my homeserver lol
