It would be great to see UnifiedPush support integrated into Minibits Wallet, along with Nostr login. That would make notifications much more reliable and the overall experience even smoother.
I see your point. For now not sure about reliability gain (my notificator infra won't likely beat google's an put additional server burden on me).
Quite afraid to introduce battery drain on the device side.
Regarding privacy, not really sure about meaningful benefit. Push notifications are fully encrypted, so content does not leak and hidden in billions.
On the other side I know many of you use de-googled devices, and that matters.
