Rather than choosing their tribe based on shared principles, most people just reprogram their principles around whatever their tribe is doing.

The bulk of the population is not an individual in society but a flock animal; in other words, it is not reason but emotion. Therefore, it joins the largest flock or the one that gives it something it needs at the moment, paying back by conforming as much as possible.
